2 slices of SEEDLESS RYE bread (If you don’t like rye, use wheat. White is too soft.)
2 pieces of provolone cheese
1 or 2 slices of deli ham. Flavor is up to you
1 slice from a large ripe tomato
Margarine spread like Country Crock, butter just doesn’t work right

Put margarine on one side of each bread piece. Then stack as so: bread/ cheese/ ham/ cheese/ tomato/ bread. Make sure that the buttered side is facing OUT.

Fire up a teflon-lined frying pan on your stove, and gently place the sandwich onto the surface. When you begin to hear the sizzle, move the concoction around a bit in the pan using a spatula. Once light smoke starts to rise from the pan, flip the sandwich, and press on it with the back of the spatula, flattening it. This will cause sizzling, so be careful. Continue to repeat the flipping and pressing process until the bread is grilled to taste.

Remove pan from burner, and put sandwich on a plate to cool.

Once the sandwich is suitable to touch with your fingers, cut in half from corner-to-corner, because it’s grilled cheese and you have to, and enjoy with an iced tea.
